The storekeeper is a pleasant, soft-spoken gentleman who is happy to help customers. The resident cats meander the store to offer their company. If you have ever felt nostalgic for an independent book store experience that you thought had been replaced by those terrible chain stores, fear not. This is the place.
Small store, but decent selection. Just way way too many people in the store when I was there. Glad there was no fire. Will definitely be back when the town is not crawling with people. Had to drive around the block 5 times before finding a stall many blocks away.
Can't overstate what a gem this shop is. The building itself is small and easy to miss, but is actually just a block up Broadway from the 'main drag'. The shelves are overflowing with a mix of standard fare, as well as unusual treats that you could never expect to find in most other bookstores. Every single time I've come here I have found a new book by my favorite authors that I never even knew existed. Most of the paperbacks are just a few dollars, it's really easy to pop in for a browse and come out with 4-5 books.
This is the cutest, coziest bookshop I have ever visited. Sellers Books is a hidden treasure that you will never want to leave. The owner stocks the shelves with a wide variety of interesting and eclectic novels. The owner, Randall, is warm and witty. The handsome bookseller took the time to help me find the rare book I had been looking for and gave me a tour of the adorable small town. I cannot wait to go back!
What a gem! This is the finest bookstore in quite a big area. An incredible hand-picked selection of used books in great condition at reasonable prices. I always find something here that I never knew about. The owner is extremely knowledgeable. A must-see for visitors of Jim Thorpe and definitely worth a special trip for book lovers.
