My husband brought me here for my birthday, i was so amazed with everything. It was a great birthday gift.
Nothing spectacular. Their frog collection is better than the butterflies. But the staff is nice, and it's a decent distraction for the kids if you're vacationing in the Poconos, and you get a rainy day.
I loved seeing the butterflies and the tropical frogs. Only wish I knew it was very small and that most of the butterflies were the same type. I dont know the area well so i am not sure whether its a sanctuary for only that type. Still, butterflies are my favorite and I am glad I experienced it.
Great place! Took our 7 month old here today and it was awesome. Owner does a cute little info show for the kids + adults. Gets kids involved. Very friendly staff, cute gift shop. They also do lots of activities for the smaller children (arts and crafts looked like) learn lots of new things! Awesome butterfly room. Great place to visit at a great price.
I don't understand how anyone could give this Beautiful Butterfly Sanctuary anything less than 5 stars! I went today for the first time to celebrate my granddaughters first birthday! She was in absolute amazement at all the butterflies flying around... and with them landing on her! She just loved it... It was such a great place and the staff couldn't have been nicer!! Definitely a great place to bring little ones!! Yes... the Butterfly room where the butterflies fly free where you can get an up close and personal experience with these lovely creatures...may be on the small side! However, all you need to do if it seems a little crowded is wait patiently for a couple people to come out! The frog sanctuary is just outside the Butterfly room where you can enjoy many frogs or your kids can sit at one of the tables and color while they wait!! It's just not fair to give a place a bad review because you're angry that you drove a long distance and it wasn't what you expected... it's not right! It's not their fault!!
